Situated in the Cotswolds, Scrubditch Care Farm supports the mental and physical wellbeing of children and adults with learning disabilities and adults living with dementia. They provide therapeutic farm-based training and real farm work experience, including caring for animals, growing and cooking produce, and learning a wealth of skills.
The Symondson Foundation has given a capital grant to help them transform the landscape surrounding their education centre, adding a wildlife pond, an orchard which doubles as a free-range fowl enclosure, and all-weather disability-friendly access. These developments will allow the care farm to grow in number, whilst growing plant and animal life on the land.
